I. Goal
To develop a passive software based tool, OpsTrace, which can discover the Industrial Control System (ICS) assets inclusive of field instrumentations at Level 0 illustrated in Figure 1. The aim is to map out and identify any unauthorized device especially those with the smart features, routing access capabilities and possible to cyber-attack (e.g. Wireless HART, Modbus, Profibus and etc.) in the real plant network in comparison with the approved system architecture diagram.
