The Ministry of Home Affairs and Singapore Cybersecurity Consortium are co-organising the inaugural The Cyber Investigators’ Challenge, a Capture-the-Flag (CTF) event, held in conjunction with RSA Conference 2019 Asia Pacific & Japan.
In a connected world, digital devices and services have become an integral part of our everyday lives. At the same time, such devices and services are also increasingly exploited by criminals for cyber-related and cyber-enabled crimes. To address these challenges, there is an urgent need for a new breed of cybersecurity analysts and investigators who understand new security vulnerabilities and develop ways to secure new devices and services in the digital realm.
Participants, in teams of two, will attempt to outwit the “criminals” by solving cases in a variety of real-life scenarios, across different platforms from computers to IoT devices and unmanned platforms. Participants will have to race against time and their peers to uncover evidence to close the investigations.
The top three teams will receive the following attractive prizes:
1st Prize: S$5,000 + fully sponsored trip for 2 participants to RSA Conference 2020 in San Francisco
2nd Prize: S$3,000
3rd Prize: S$2,000
Form a team of two members and submit your application now. Each team member is required to enter your team name and complete the registration form individually. Shortlisted teams will be notified at a later date. Registration will close on 21 June 2019. There is no cost to register.
